Qualification Rounds - Canadian Championships in Moncton, NB

3 of our athletes competed in the qualification rounds at the 2013 Canadian Championships in Moncton, NB these past two days, with some success coming of it.

On Thursday, June 20th, Andrew Choi came in 3rd place in the qualification round of the men's pole vault, allowing him to jump on Saturday, June 22nd in the finals. Although a rough process, taking 3 attempts at his opening height, Andrew was able to qualify into the championship final, which will also include Nathan Filipek.

The following day, Friday, June 21st, both Rachel Mintz and Sue Kupper competed in the women's qualification round. Rachel did a number of great looking jumps, clearing 3.50m to demonstrate her consistency, but unfortunately could not clear the cutoff height of 3.65m. Sue cleared an opening height of 3.65m on a first attempt to place her in the women's pole vault final on Sunday, June 23rd, at noon. That final will also include Lindsey Bergevin, who is seeded 4th for the final.

Good luck to all our athletes in their final rounds!
