2 gold medals earned at Alberta High School Championships
/Foothills Track in Calgary was host to the ASAA track and field championships June 6-7 where 3 students training with the club earned medals.
Meghan Lim of Calgary, who has been travelling up to Edmonton every couple weekends to train, won gold on the way to breaking the junior girls record of 2.91m with a personal best performance of 3.15m. The record was previously held by Paige Ridout of Calgary, who also started training with the club earlier this year.
Corey Woolnough also earned gold, defending his title in the senior boys category with a personal best clearance of 4.00m.
As well, Samantha Tewitz from Stranthcona Composite was able to grab a bronze medal in the girls intermediate category.
